About Sports

The Sports Department develops content related to current sports news including both college and professional sports.

Members of the department film at most home games and some away games for the major sports teams (Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer), and report on the performance of other UConn sports teams.

Daisy Gonzalez

Daisy Gonzalez is a junior studying Communications with a minor in Personal Brand Entrepreneurship at UConn, where she serves as the Sports Director for UCTV. With seven years of experience in broadcasting, Daisy is passionate about videography and editing. In her role, she not only captures the excitement of UConn sports but also takes on significant responsibilities in organizing events and managing travel logistics for UCTV Sports. Her keen attention to detail ensures that everything runs smoothly, from coordinating schedules to ensuring equipment is ready for each event.

Daisy contributes as a videographer for the UConn women’s soccer and baseball teams while also serving as a student equipment manager for the basketball teams. Her ability to balance these various roles alongside her academic commitments demonstrates her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to her work.

Outside of UCTV, Daisy loves to spend time with family and friends and engage in physical activities such as hiking and running, as well as winning the Pearlman Cup each year.
